Premiered 21st September 2023 at Espace de Projection, IRCAM by soprano Béatrice de Larratoïti.
A composition for light, electronics and voice that sets two texts into one narrative line. A reflection on the echoes in a space that is no longer safe is created through interspersed elements of live voice, electronics and interactive light design. The texts used - excerpts from the last letter by Mary Queen of Scots and Lucretius’ De Rerum Natura - are fragmented into a poetic form that stumbles over itself and embeds into a new narrative line focusing on finding light in dark places.
